Evaluation Of My Filming Day

All in all my day of filming was very successfuly, and I would say that is because of my well planned time schedule which generally worked well. Also my storyboarding was very benefitial because I was able to show the actors exactly what I wanted it to look like and also knew myself which shot we were doing next. The only difficulty I found with this was the fact that my sheets kept blowing away in the wind!

As I do not live near to a beach and had to travel 2 hours it meant that I was very limited and could only film the majority of my music video in one day. Due to this problem it meant that some of my shots did not actually turn out the way I wanted them too and therefore I will have to use my editing skills in order to produce the best outcome.

Another problem I faced was the fact that the sand was very wet and therefore after the actors had rolled around on the ground a while their clothes were dirty which was very visible in the video - this is due to not realising that the ground would be wet and therefore doing my time schedule slightly wrong.

My actor Jonny actually forgot to bring a photograph of his family and therefore I had to compromise by taking a photo of a polite couple walking along the beach, and pretending to be Jonny's parents. This is a real shame because I do not think this will look as effective now, but I will have to get other people's opinions and possibly re-film it.

I encountered another problem which was the breaking of the glass. We were very aware that it is likely that there is a glass ban on most beaches but we were unable to see any sign to say so and therefore we able to break a small amount of glass in a plastic bag and place it neatly in the positioning I needed it. Which goes on to my further problem that I did not place the camera close enough to the camera so my effect didn't work, which may mean I need super impose shots.

A real big issue I had was that my actor didn't actually know the song very well which meant we had to waste time learning the song. Also I feel that this may have effected my lip syncing shots which coud be a real issue.
